Our Approach
We built a fully integrated, end-to-end film division and production facility
at Shell HQ in London, staffed with top-tier talent from television, advertising, and marketing. Directors. Producers. Editors. Strategists.
A team built to deliver at the highest level.
Originally launched as Content Engine and now known as CS Film, the unit is embedded within Shell, but operates with full creative independence.
We work solo or alongside the businesses existing partners to deliver
high-performing content across every format: from short-form social media
to long-form documentaries, big-screen films, virtual productions,
and live global events.
Our focus: human stories, pioneering technology, and content that connects.
As the world’s 15th largest company and a leader in the energy transition, Shell needs stories that resonate across languages, cultures, and continents.
That’s exactly what CS Film delivers: bold, consistent, strategically aligned storytelling that reflects Shell’s evolving ambition and global role.
It’s a model we’ve built, and continue to scale, over six transformative years. Today, CS Film is a 35-strong team with bases in London, New York, and the Philippines, delivering world-class content that drives impact across every corner of Shell’s global business.

CASE STUDY:
REDEFINING SHELL’S IN-HOUSE FILM UNIT
The Challenge
Shell’s Film Unit has a 90-year legacy, founded by documentary pioneer
John Grierson and rooted in a tradition of story-led, journalistic filmmaking.
But in today’s fast-moving, digital-first world, legacy alone isn’t enough.
Shell needed a modern, agile, and world-class in-house film team, capable of delivering everything from scroll-stopping social cutdowns to global brand campaigns with scale, creative consistency, and purpose.
Our brief was clear: build a unit that could uphold Shell’s values, support its evolving strategy, and tell stories that resonate across cultures, platforms,
and time zones.
